Tree Week Poetry Competition

‘The Sounds of Trees’ poetry competition in The Pearse Museum and St. Enda’s Park.

The Pearse Museum and St. Enda’s Park held a poetry competition for school children based on the theme of ‘The Sounds of Trees’ which was also the theme of National Tree Week 2014. The poetry competition was also inspired by Patrick Pearse, who lived in St. Enda’s Park between 1910 and 1916. Pearse loved nature and often wrote about and trees and woodlands. Over 1000 children entered the competition from across Dublin.
