Tree Council Initiatives

The Tree Council co-ordinates a number of national initiatives such as Tree Week and Tree Day, as well as support programmes such as Tidy Towns and Dublin Trails.


Tree Day

Tetra Pak Tree Day 2016 took place on Thursday, 6th October. On Tree Day, schools and families are invited to explore the unique characteristics of seven of our native trees.

Tree Week

National Tree Week, organised by the Tree Council of Ireland is a week long programme of events to celebrate trees. Tree Week 2017 took place from the 5th to the 12th of March.

Family Tree Scheme

The Family Tree Scheme enables you to commemorate an important event or to remember a loved one, by giving you the opportunity to have a tree or trees planted in their name.

Tidy Towns
