National Tree Week Schools Competition

This year, schools were asked to work on a creative project expressing what trees mean to them and their community.

The 2019 winners were:

1st – Biodiversity Village – Ardcsoil La Salle, Raheny
2nd – Poem 2 – De La Salle, Bagenalstown
3rd – Bird Platform – De La Salle, Bagenalstown

The Outdoor Forest

The Tree Council of Ireland are developing this woodland in association with Meath County Council as an “Outdoor classroom” or an interpretive woodland. The Outdoor Classroom will be made readily accessible to the public and will prove an attractive venue and ideal setting for outdoor teaching and for school groups.
